It's too bad there aren't some studs on Smaug for a minifig. I didn't think that they would make a figure for Smaug, so I'm surprised. I think they are fighting in Dale because it looks wooden instead of stony like Ravenhill. The war machine looks like it is more powerful than the trebuchet in the Uruk-Hai Army set. Notice that the orcs look like the hunter orcs from the Warg Attack set instead of gundabad orcs. The giant crossbow type thing on the top looks like it is spring-loaded to increase power and velocity. Elrond's sword could be Hadhafang from the Weapons and Warfare book. It appears that the skeleton's rib cage is part of the catapult mechanism because of the finger pressing it. I have gone with mostly unnamed characters, because most Lord of the Rings/Hobbit sets have specific minifigures for each set, and not generic minifigures (except for orcs). This set would include: two elven soldiers (one with a bow and one with a sword), Thranduil on his elk, two men from Lake Town (one with a sword and one with a bow), two dwarves of the Iron Hills with their rams, a troll with a catapult that 2 minifigures can ride on, Bolg, three warrior orcs, the front gate of Erebor, and some ruins of the once flourishing town of Dale. I tried to base what you see before you on what I saw from the trailers. If you are a fan of The Hobbit, you probably know that The Battle of the Five Armies movie has not come out (quite) yet.
